Evident offers a range of compact, portable, and handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers to bring the analysis to where you need it. Our XRF analyzers provide fast, nondestructive elemental analysis. Portable XRF analyzers can be used on location in a variety of industries, providing accurate, laboratory-quality results immediately in the field. In addition, the speed of XRF makes it perfect for in-line automated or continuous testing in manufacturing environments. Evident offers systems purpose-built for in-line inspection. All our XRF analyzers offer speed, power, ease of use, and accuracy for a wide range of material characterization applications. |
Handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers provide fast, accurate, and nondestructive alloy identification and elemental analysis from magnesium to uranium. Used on location for immediate results, they help determine the next course of action, when and where it’s needed. Applications include metal alloy identification for quality control, PMI, scrap sorting, geochemistry for mining exploration and grade control, hazardous element screening, consumer goods and RoHS testing, and precious metals analysis.
The Olympus Xpert series of benchtop XRF analyzers offers the power and ease of use of our handheld instruments in a self-contained, closed-beam instrument. This series includes the popular GoldXpert analyzer for precious metals analysis as well as models for consumer goods analysis and RoHS applications.
Use our XRF technology to design an industrial inspection system that meets your unique needs. Our X-STREAM components can be integrated into high-volume, high-speed automated sorting systems that can automatically sort materials according to chemical composition. Take metal and glass recycling to a new level of speed, accuracy, and profitability.
XRF stands for X-ray fluorescence: a nondestructive, non-invasive technique that is used for elemental and material analysis.
Most users find the out-of-the-box calibration of Vanta™ XRF analyzers suitable for field analysis without any adjustment. The Axon Technology™ that powers each analyzer has shot-to-shot reproducibility over time and across a wide temperature range.
Collecting data is only a small part of XRF testing and analysis—interpreting the data correctly is imperative if it is to be useful. For device-specific advice, including How To View Test Result Data for Vanta Handheld XRF Analyzers, visit our resources page.
A handheld XRF analyzer cannot measure elements that are lighter than magnesium on the periodic table—this includes carbon. If you need to quantify these light elements, another analytical method is needed.
