Phased array testing helps make corrosion inspection fast and efficient. Our solutions enable inspectors to be more productive and collect higher resolution data with fully encoded C-scan imaging.
The HydroFORM® scanner, FlexoFORM™ scanner, RexoFORM wedge, and Dual Linear Array™ probe offer efficient inspection options for detecting loss of wall thickness due to corrosion, abrasion,
and erosion. Our solutions can also detect mid-wall damage, such as hydrogen-induced blistering or manufacturing-induced laminations, and easily differentiate these anomalies from loss of wall thickness.
Scanning Methods
Manual and manual encoded
The Dual Linear Array™ probe is a cost-effective corrosion inspection solution. When fitted with an Olympus encoder, the probe can be used for encoded C-scan imaging with 1 mm near-surface resolution.
The RexoFORM and VersaMOUSE provide one-line encoded scans, or 2-D mapping using the integrated indexing button.
An easy-to-deploy 2-axis encoding PA solution, the HydroFORM semiautomated scanner enables fast and reliable high-resolution data acquisition of large surfaces. To ease raster scanning, it’s equipped with X and Y encoders, a unique water column system, and coupling check and position indicators.
Semiautomated
The innovative FlexoFORM scanner makes challenging pipe elbow corrosion inspection easier. The scanner’s flexible phased array technology enables it to map the entire surface of an elbow.
The MapSCANNER is a semiautomated, 2-axis corrosion inspection scanner. When combined with the HydroFORM or Dual Linear Array (DLA) phased array corrosion mapping solutions, it is a powerful, efficient tool for C-scan imaging of remaining wall thickness and mid-wall anomalies.
The ChainSCANNER provides a manual pipe-inspection solution for pipes between 1.75 to 38 in. OD. The scanner, held by chain links instead of magnetic wheels is well suited for weld or corrosion inspection on different type of materials. UT, TOFD, PA.
Automated
The MapROVER is a fully automated, motorized 2-axis corrosion mapping scanner. When combined with the HydroFORM phased array corrosion mapping solution, it is a powerful tool for C-scan imaging of remaining wall thickness and mid-wall anomalies.
The SteerROVER is a fully automated, steerable motorized 2-axis scanner capable of performing corrosion mapping in remote locations. When combined with the HydroFORM or the DLA phased array corrosion mapping solutions, it is a powerful tool for C-scan imaging of remaining wall thickness and mid-wall anomalies.
