Decommissioning & Disposal of Mercury-contaminated Oil & Gas Assets
Environmental monitoring and risk assessment for mercury contamination are now simpler and more reliable than ever with the Vanta X-Ray Fluorescent (XRF) analyzer. Designed for effortless on-site analysis, this portable analyzer offers rapid and accurate detection of mercury in various samples - from soil and water to sediments and organic materials. By harnessing the power of the XRF technology, the Vanta analyzer enables real-time and non-destructive analysis, eliminating the need for complex sample preparation.
Introducing the Merged B-Scan: Streamlined Screening of Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Weld Data
Exploring Advanced Ultrasonic Inspection Techniques: Total Focusing Method (TFM) and Phase Coherence Imaging (PCI)
This webinar delves deeply into two advanced ultrasonic techniques onboard Evident’s Omniscan X3 64 - Total Focusing Method (TFM) and Phase Coherence Imaging (PCI). TFM, owing primarily to its focusing abilities, is effective in challenging applications providing improved resolution and accurate sizing. PCI, which is an amplitude free technique, has vastly improved the visualisation and characterisation capabilities for some of the most difficult to detect defects. Both techniques use the same elementary A-scans but have different advantages and limitations due to their signal processing methods.

Find Flaws Fast: A Guide to Inspection Technologies for the Automotive Sector
In this webinar, we discuss how a combination of remote visual inspection (RVI) and nondestructive testing (NDT) technologies can enable a comprehensive inspection of various components used in the automotive industry. We discuss the common RVI and NDT technologies used by automobile manufacturers and provide case studies that demonstrate how these technologies are used to help ensure a quality final product.
Inspection with Long Videoscopes—Technology and Best Practices
The use of videoscopes enables the inspection of different types and lengths of pipework in several industries, such as oil & gas, power generation, bioprocessing, and food and beverage. The inspection of long, complex pipe networks presents additional challenges compared with applications with shorter lengths: the inspector needs to be able to maneuver a long probe, while determining its location in the pipe and acquiring high-quality images and videos. This must be done while avoiding health, safety, and environment hazards and minimizing wear and damage to the equipment.

Deep Dive into PCI
Phase coherence imaging (PCI) is a new live TFM imaging technology integrated into the OmniScan™ X3 64 flaw detector with the MXU 5.10 software update. This technique offers a novel way to display and interpret acquired data that is completely amplitude independent. As the name implies, the level of phase coherence between the elementary A-scans is used to identify defects. This results in a higher sensitivity to small defects, better SNR in coarse-grained or attenuative materials, and easier sizing. This webinar presents multiple use cases where PCI is appropriate and demonstrates how to achieve optimal results using the technique.
