Advanced Inspection Solutions for Wind Tower Welds

Experts
Sr. Product Manager, NDT Solutions, APAC
Product Manager, APAC NDT, Evident Scientific, Singapore

Phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) are the primary inspection methods for wind tower welds during fabrication as well as in-service. Improving inspection efficiency requires simultaneous development efforts on both hardware and software functionalities to reduce inspection bottlenecks.

Watch this webinar to learn about some of the new Olympus offerings, from a simple portable solution to inspection with an autonomous guided vehicle (AGV). We also demonstrate WeldSight™ advanced analysis software, which is used across all solutions to provide comprehensive, streamlined PAUT and TOFD inspection, analysis, and reporting.

Identification of Precious Metal Purity and Gemstone Authenticity Using Portable XRF

Experts
Product and Application Manager, Olympus Singapore

Ever wondered about the purity of your precious metals or whether your gemstones are real? There are many ways to test precious metals, from acid scratch tests and density tests to conductivity meters and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis.

This webinar explores the advantages and limitations of each technology and focuses on the role of portable XRF in precious metals and gemstone analysis. Discover how portable XRF can provide the full chemical composition of your item in real time, whether it is made of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, nickel, copper, zinc, or another metal.

Demonstration of Essential Videoscope Features for Remote Visual Inspection (RVI)

Experts
Associate Product Manager, Remote Visual Inspection

In a shutdown, the applications and targeted components during visual inspections of internal systems are varied. However, the requirements of a videoscope unit for these inspections are not. Brightness, high-quality images, and portability are all crucial for an effective remote visual inspection. The nature of these inspections is to search for mechanical and structural defects (i.e., turbine blade defects [cracks, pitting, missing material], weld integrity, valve functionality, etc.). The three aforementioned videoscope requirements— brightness, high-quality images, and portability—provide inspectors the ability to find these critical defects during an inspection. They also enable further investigation and accurate measurement for reliable reference against the relevant standard.

Simplified Long Seam Scanning Solution—Demonstration of the AxSEAM Scanner

Experts
Global Advanced Product Support Specialist

Optimized for long seam weld inspection, such as in electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes, the AxSEAM™ scanner’s simple design minimizes the number of adjustments required when changing pipe diameters, probe separation, or scan orientation. An operator can set up and perform the scan independently without needing to manipulate or monitor the data acquisition instrument thanks to the innovative ScanDeck™ module. The redesigned, easily adjustable probe holders support up to four phased array (PA) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) probes.
